
Jill Steever
Jill Steever, BSW, RSW Clientele: Ages 5+ New Brunswick and Ontario Jill is a registered member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, and the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers. She has a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Gerontology and a Bachelor of Social Work both from St. Thomas University. Jill has spent over 17 years working in frontline and clinical social work positions. During this time, she has worked in home health care, including palliative care and end of life planning, treating sleep disorders, addictions and mental health with children, youth and families, and most recently has been proudly serving Canadian Armed Forces, Veterans and RCMP. Jill is comfortable in working with children ages 5 plus and covers several areas of practice. She has experience working with issues surrounding incarceration, learning disabilities, coping with family members' mental health struggles and with transition and advocacy challenges. She specializes in treating depression, anxiety, trauma and sleep issues (insomnia). Jill employs evidence-based therapies in her approach, including, Cognitive Behavioural therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia.
